Restoration of a factory 2002 turbo. Not a rusty car as it was an Italian delivery car that spent many years in Italy, but it was the subject of some dodgy repairs in the nose section. We're stripping the car to a full shell, doing all metal repairs/body work and repainting as well as reassembly. Car will leave as a running/driving car.

Euro 635 with custom metal flares, metal rocker covers and more. Most every part of this car is custom from the combination Alpina/BMW air dam through the roll cage to the rear valance.

This 1970 2002 was bought in March, 2005 along with another car for cheap money. It was slated for the junkyard until we did some close examination.
Though outwardly rusty and forlorn looking, the car had some real strengths, it sported perfect rear shock towers, a perfect outer nose skin, almost perfect original floors and perfect frame rails.
Bad points were the following: Rocker panels, trunk floor, quarter panels, doors, front fenders, hood and trunklid.
We developed a work plan that took advantage of the car's strengths, while working around the car's weaknesses.
Its now being being built as a low-buck hotrod with with hand-made steel fender flares in the rear, some big modifications to the firewall/transmission tunnel to make lots of room for the M20 "super eta" engine that will someday be fitted, but for now it has a hot Kugelfischered tii engine powering it.
